Two Mysterious Deaths Reported in Parked Vehicles Across Delhi

Delhi, June 10: In two unrelated incidents that unfolded hours apart on Monday, police discovered the bodies of two men inside stationary vehicles in separate areas of the capital.

The first discovery occurred early morning at a bus stand in Northeast Delhi’s Nand Nagri, where a foul odor led authorities to a locked tourist bus. Inside, they found the body of a 32-year-old man, later identified as Shiva. He was lying face down in the stairwell near the front door, with what appeared to be a head injury.

Police suspect an accidental fall as the bus was locked from inside, though further clarity is expected following a post-mortem examination at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. Legal proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) are currently underway.

Later the same day, around 12 hours after the first incident, police in West Delhi’s Vikaspuri responded to another distress call about a foul smell from a parked car near PVR Cinema. On arrival, they found the body of Rakesh Kumar, 55, a resident of Chaukhandi, inside the vehicle.

“No external injuries were observed,” said DCP (West) Vichitra Veer. “The cause of death will be confirmed post-mortem. Inquest proceedings have begun, and the family has been informed.”

Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
